Initial Backstory:
Our baby boy was diagnosed with LCDH at our 20 week anatomy scan, the news were absolutely devastating to us as we have never heard of this condition. We were referred to CHOP, and were given a great survival rate however we knew we needed second opinion. We then found about a doctor at JHACH, who specialized on CDH and after traveling down to consult with them and sitting with Dr. Kay & his team for almost an hour and half we just knew relocating to St. Pete’s was the best chance we can give our son. So here we are waiting for our boy to get here in mid April. In the midst of this I was told in January I will be laid off April 1st. ECCF generosity helps lessen the financial burden during this time.
